Mark joined the KSN team in October of 2005 as Weekend Sports Anchor/Reporter. Born and raised in Independence, Missouri, Mark is a talented broadcaster with a lifelong passion for sports.
Before making KSN and Wichita home, Mark was the Weekend Sports Anchor at WIBW in Topeka beginning in 2003. As a student at University of Missouri and after graduating with a degree in journalism, Mark served as Sports Anchor and Reporter at KOMU in Columbia. Mark also has radio experience with a stint at KFRU/KLIK in Columbia hosting sports talk shows and doing play-by-play.
In Topeka, Mark received two KAB awards for his work as co-host of WIBW’s high school football show.
Mark attended Truman High School in Independence where he played baseball and basketball. His parents and younger brother still live in Independence. Mark says his mom has to suffer through a household of non-stop sports activities.
His interests are sports of any kind although he has developed a passion for golf. He likes to travel, fish, work out and play poker. Mark spends time with friends and family and is a longsuffering Chiefs and Royals fan. He has no tolerance for fair weather fans.
Mark doesn’t claim to be a scratch golfer, but he does own the proud honor of a hole in one. He once aced Cool Crest’s #7 on the Camelot course with a putter from 22 feet on the par 2 windmill hole.
