JOB DESCRIPTION:

Management of Account Executives in areas including development and implementation of strategic plans to guide and direct the sales staff to achieve sales goals; manage and direct Account Executives for KSNW to achieve local sales goals; insures accountability standards are being adhered to; train, develop and motivate sales staff with sales techniques; work with sales management to develop new and non-traditional revenue streams, sales packages, sales promotions and internet sales.

Work with management to establish revenue and expense budgets for KSNW local and make a strong sales force even stronger.



JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Specific Responsibilities include:

Develop and implement strategic plans to guide and direct the sales staff to achieve sales goals. Manage and direct Account Executives to achieve local sales goals including insuring accountability standards are being adhered to by the Account Executive.

Train, develop and motivate sales staff with sales techniques and approaches to enhance their potential.

Prepare and submit sales and financial reports as directed. Conduct weekly Sales Dep’t. meetings to train and motivate sales staff.

Conduct one on one meetings with Account Executives to monitor progress.

Make sales calls on local advertisers with Account Executives.

Ongoing recruitment of potential Account Executives.

Conduct performance evaluations.

Complete back-up to sales management, Account Executives and support staff as needed.


All qualified applicants should be highly motivated, self-starters. Applicant should be intelligent, willing to learn, and a creative thinker. Ability to develop ideas is critical!


JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Degree preferred in Communications/Business/Marketing, but not required.

Television advertising sales experience and television sales management experience required.

Strong leadership, motivational, negotiation and problem solving skills.

Ability to handle multiple tasks with a "can do" attitude.

Proficient in computer skills such as MS Word, Excel and Power Point.
