Aileen joined KSN in January 2008 to help re-launch the bureaus in Garden City and Great Bend, and start the bureau in Salina. She anchors the 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. newscasts for those areas, as well as reports for Wichita.

Aileen began her broadcasting career in June 2000, after graduating from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas with a B.A. in Communication and minors in Business Administration and Communication Management. She’s anchored news, weather and sports in Yuma, Ariz., reported in Omaha, Nebr., and most recently was the main anchor for the Fox affiliate in Boise, Idaho.

Aileen has received numerous honors during her broadcasting career. She was named Best Live Reporter and runner up for Reporter of the Year in Arizona. She was honored in Idaho as the Best Consumer and Series Reporter in the state. The Idaho Commission on Hispanic Affairs also presented her with its first ever Outstanding News Reporter award to honor her objective handling of Latino issues. While in Kansas, she’s also been recognized for the bureau newscasts.

Aileen is a passionate storyteller, and finds tremendous satisfaction telling the stories of the newsmakers she meets. As an anchor and reporter, she’s skydived with the Army’s Golden Knights, flown in a B-52 bomber, and even interviewed actor Matt Damon for the premiere of "The Bourne Ultimatum".

Aileen and her husband, Brian, are excited about living in Wichita. This move brings them closer to her family in Texas and his family in Nebraska, which is a blessing since they welcomed their first child in May. When she’s not at work, Aileen enjoys spending time with their daughter, Alyssa, their dog, Bailey, and Maggie the cat. She looks forward to meeting more of the friendly people in Kansas.
