John Snyder co-anchors KSN News @ 6:00pm, and KSN News @ 10:00pm with Stephanie Bergmann, Monday through Friday. He comes to KSN from WCNC in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he anchored for 10 years. 

Snyder holds a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. He began his career more than 30 years ago, as a sports/weekend anchor at KWTV-TV in Oklahoma City.  He eventually became that station’s sports anchor and sports director.

Snyder joined ABC News in August of 1987 doing sports reporting, and was part of the network’s Big Ten football television team.  At ABC, he covered the Winter and Summer Olympics, the Super Bowl, the World Series, the All-Star game, and a number of major golf tournaments.

In February, 1988, John became a correspondent and anchor at ABC News in New York. He anchored sports on "ABC World News This Morning" and reported for "Good Morning America". He also served as the backup news anchor for the morning news.

Following his time at ABC, John freelanced as a sportscaster and anchor, for major broadcasters in New York City.

In July, 1995, John continued his career on national television as news anchor, show host for America's Talking, a cable news channel which eventually became MSNBC. He also anchored on MSNBC’s sister network, CNBC.

John has a passion for history, and is an avid reader.  His wife, Nancy, is a children’s librarian.  They have two sons.
