A familiar face to Kansas sports fans, Jim joined the KSN team in October of 2005 as Sports Anchor. Since 1991, Jim was the popular weekend sports anchor at the CBS affiliate in Wichita. During that time, Jim was voted "Wichita’s Favorite Sportscaster" three times in Bob Lutz’s Wichita Eagle reader response poll.

Jim was born in Wichita and raised in nearby Douglass where he graduated from high school. He attended the University of Kansas where he earned degrees in Journalism and English.

Prior to Wichita TV, his career includes stops as News Reporter at KAYS in Hays, Kansas, Sports Director at KSOK-AM/KWKS-FM in Arkansas City/Winfield, Kansas, and News Reporter at KFDI in Wichita. He has also worked at Boeing/Spirit AeroSystems in computing and Human Resources. For a time, Jim was a commissioned seller on eBay.

Jim seems to be most proud of the fact that he worked his way through college at KU as a checker and sacker at Rusty’s IGA in Lawrence.

Jim likes travel, photography and baseball. So he goes to ballparks all over and takes pictures. He’s been to 23 of the current 30 major league ballparks. Jim says he’s been to even more minor league venues.

His uncle is William Kloefkorn, a well-known modern poet who has published more than 20 books and is the state poet of Nebraska. Jim’s parents live in Wichita, his sister and brother-in-law live in Minneapolis, Kansas.
