Mary-Rachel comes to KSN from KOCO-TV(ABC) in Oklahoma City, where she served as a sports reporter. Her duties included coverage of OU and OSU football and basketball and reporting on the NBA's Oklahoma City Thunder.
A self-professed sports fanatic, Mary-Rachel landed her first sports reporting gig in college with Palestra, an Internet-based national sports and entertainment content provider. She worked as a reporter, covering Purdue football and men's basketball, but her duties for Palestra took her nationwide and included coverage of the Rose Bowl, Maui Classic in Hawaii and Pacific Life Holiday Bowl in San Diego.
Upon graduating from Purdue University in 2007, Mary-Rachel began working as a football sideline and on-location reporter for the Chicago-based Big Ten Network. She played a role in BTN's early coverage of men's football and basketball, delivering live on-air "news of the day" reports during the week with pre- and post-game interviews/updates on game day. Mary-Rachel was also a poolside reporter for the USA Swimming National Championships in Indianapolis, which featured Michael Phelps as part of a five-day live international broadcast team that included Olympic gold medalist Rowdy Gaines.
Mary-Rachel is Hoosier - born and raised in Indianapolis. So naturally...she loves college basketball. Her favorite team of all time -- the Michigan Fab 5. Mary-Rachel is excited to call Wichita home and can’t wait to hit area high school fields and courts and get acquainted with KU, K-State, and of course the Shockers.
