Today's recipe comes from the kitchen of Gigi Shadid.

Ingredients:
1 ½ large onions, diced
1 T olive oil
4 T unsalted butter
2 lb top sirloin beef, cut in 1 inch pieces
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp cinnamon
2 cups water
2, 6 oz can tomato sauce
5 cloves garlic, chopped
2 T lemon juice
2-3 lbs frozen green beans

Directions:
Cover one side of the meat in ¼ of each of the spices (give or take). Using olive oil, sear the stew meat in a frying pan, spice side down first. While one side is searing, rub ¼ of the spices on the other side of the meat. Using a spatula, carefully flip the meat over and sear the other side. Set aside when completed.

In a large bowl, add the green beans, seared meat, onions, garlic, tomato sauce, lemon juice, and remaining spices and mix with a large serving spoon (or by hand), making sure that the green beans get coated in the spices. You may need to add more salt, pepper and cinnamon as desired.

Pour this into a Crock Pot on High heat for three hours or Low heat for 6+ hours. Serve over rice.

This is something you can easily throw together in 15 minutes in the morning, and you will have a tasty meal waiting for you when you come home!

Rice with Vermicelli

Ingredients:
2-3 cups of Uncle Ben's rice
½ cup of Vermicelli
3 T butter (rendered butter is best)
2 tsp salt (to the taste)

Directions:
Put the rice in a bowl and rinse it with warm water. Then, soak the rice for at least half an hour. Afterward, saute in a pot the Vermicelli until golden brown. Next, drain the rice and add it to the Vermicelli, then add the salt. Mix them for a few minutes, making sure the Vermicelli is all throughout the rice. Add water to about ¼ inch above the level of the rice and let it cook on medium-high heat. Once it starts to boil, turn the heat to low and let it cook until the water from the rice is absorbed.
