SALINA, Kansas -- Salina fire investigators have ruled out what caused a huge house fire near the corner of Fairdale and Melrose Monday.
Officials say the home owner was burning leaves in his fire place, and when he went outside, the leaves came out of fireplace sparking the blaze.
The owner of the house was able to escape safely.
The American Red Cross is assisting the owner of home.
