WICHITA, Kansas -- Adults in Sedgwick County may qualify for a free vaccination if they have an infant in the home.

The Sedgwick County Health Department says many people don't realize that adult vaccinations are important, especially for caregivers of infants.

The department is offering free Tdap vaccines while supplies last.  The Tdap vaccine helps prevent tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis.

The vaccine is free to adults who care for infants younger than age one, while supplies last.

Recipients must live in the same household as the infant.

Doses are limited to two per family.

The vaccinations are available at the health department clinic at 2716 W. Central.  The hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, noon to 6:30 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Friday.

If you have any questions, call the health department at (316) 660-7300.
