FORT LAUDERDALE, Florida (NBC News) – Barry Goren recently jumped back in the dating game, but he knows he has to step it up if he's going to meet the right girl.

So he decided to go to Dr. Shino Bay Aguilera to get Botox.

Does he think it makes him less manly? No!

Barry is not alone.

National statistics show some 300,000 men received tiny injections of Botox or some cosmetic treatments last year.

And because of that, lots of "dudes" are not only opting for what's affectionately called "boy-tox" these days, but even more males are asking for something called: Sculptra.

There are differences though as to how men and women approach getting such services.

Dr. Aguilera says guys tend to be more clandestine, more covert.

The American male grooming market is worth $3.5 billion a year and a larger portion is now going to cosmetic procedures.

A number that doctors say is sure to continue to surge.
