BUFFALO, New York (NBC) – A New York woman born with two uteruses has delivered two babies at Buffalo's Women and Children's Hospital.

Doctors say Alison Camp's condition, Uterine Didelphys, is rare.

They say each of her uteruses has one fallopian tube and one ovary, but she also has two cervices.

On October 8, 2011, Camp delivered two boys, Griffin and Carter, 14 weeks prematurely, after doctors say each baby developed in a different uterus.

The babies each weighed approximately 1.5 lbs at birth.

The Camps already have two other children, ages five and two.

Officials at Women and Children's Hospital say approximately 75 such cases such as Camp's have been documented worldwide.

Because the boys were premature, they spent some time in the hospital's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Carter was discharged on January 13th, while Griffin is still in the NICU.

It's still unclear if the boys can be considered "twins" in a technical sense.

While they were born of the same mother at the same time, they did not share the same womb and possibly could have been conceived on separate occasions.

The Camps say they'll let others debate that, they're just happy to have them, and that they're relatively healthy.
