WICHITA, Kansas -- A recent nationwide study has shown that children who grow up with mentors in their lives are generally more confident and successful.
Ninety-percent of the kids in the survey said their mentors made them feel better about themselves.
More than half said that having a mentor was the reason they stayed in school.
Big Brothers Big Sisters is one organization that successfully matches children in need with adult mentors.
Leon Smitherman introduces us to one of their many success stories.
