MANHATTAN, Kansas -- Former Wichita Northwest high school quarterback Chris Harper tells KSN Sports Casey Walkup on Monday he will transfer from the University of Oregon to Kansas State.
Harper said there were many factors in his decision, but the most important thing was getting closer to home.
“I want play closer to home, and with Coach Snyder at K-State that was the best option for me,” he said.
Harper will not be eligible for the 2009 season, due to transfer rules, so he plans to red-shirt and will have three years of eligibility left starting in 2010.
