WSU's Lindsey Eckenrode is Out For Season

WICHITA, Kansas – Shocker volleyball coach Chris Lamb did his best to keep it quiet, so for a week KSN Sports honored his wish, but Lindsey Eckenrode’s torn ACL couldn’t be hidden for long.  It was an injury suffered at practice in early August, putting her out for the season.
 
The senior outside hitter underwent surgery on Tuesday to repair her left knee, and the surgery was successful.  Eckenrode will sit out this season and complete her eligibility next year as a senior.
 
Eckenrode was expected to see a lot of playing time this year after seeing action in all 32 matches in 2008.
