WICHITA, Kansas - Two Wichita buildings have been nominated for the National Register of Historic Places.
One includes the Ellington Apartment Building at 514 South Main Street.
The building featured 20 units.
It was built during the height of an apartment construction boom in 1927.
Also nominated were the Naomi and Leona Apartments. The apartments are located at 509 and 507 S. Market St. in Wichita.
They were built in 1926 and 1927 by contractor Oliver J. Mourning.
The identical brick buildings are two-stories each with a flat roof, full-width one-story front porch and a second-story balcony.
