WICHITA, Kansas - Wichita police are investigating another case of a police impostor.
This one happened Tuesday night in the 1200 block of North Maize.
A Kingman woman says a white and blue Bronco with red and blue flashing lights pulled behind her.
She didn't stop, and the man inside sped past.
The woman called 911.
Dispatchers told the woman there were not cops in the area.
She was able to get police a partial tag with the numbers 883.
"We bring this to your attention because over the last year we've had three or four situations were we had individuals attempting to impersonate officer stopped vehicles," said Lt. Doug Nolte, Wichita Police Department. "In this situation, the driver did the right thing, pulled over and called 911 to make a a report."
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to call Wichita police investigations at 268-4646.
While the House plans to vote on a short term extension to carry over till a permanent bill can be reached next session, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid says that's not an option.
