Missing teen found

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Topeka Police and Shawnee County Sheriff's Deputies were searching early Tuesday morning for a runaway teen in the Topeka area. Authorities located runaway 17-year-old Crystal Smith at a McDonald's in Topeka Tuesday just after 7:30 a.m. Authorities had been searching for the girl for nearly 8 hours. Just after midnight 17-year old Crystal Smith was reported as a runaway from the 4100 block of Martin Drive in Topeka. Smith was described as a white female, 5 foot 4 inches tall, weighing 140 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt or "hoodie," a yellow tank-top, dark colored sweat pants and no shoes. Topeka Police, Shawnee County Sheriff's Deputies and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation all worked the case.
