"Weird Al" Headed to Wichita

WICHITA, Kansas -- The king of parody is coming to Hartman Arena in Wichita.  "Weird Al" Yankovic will perform his biggest hits on May 1. 

Yankovic is known for his unique ability to poke fun at pop culture and its music, Yankovic’s hits include “White & Nerdy,” “Eat It,” “Smells Like Nirvana,” “Another One Rides The Bus,” “Like A Surgeon,” “Amish Paradise,” King of Suede,” “Ricky,” “I Lost On Jeopardy” and many more.

Thirteen of “Weird Al” Yankovic’s albums have made it onto Billboard’s Top 200 chart over the past 30 years. Twenty-eight of his albums have gone Gold and Platinum, and seven of his music videos are also certified Gold and Platinum. He has received three Grammy awards and been nominated 12 times.

Tickets for this reserved seat show go on sale Friday, February 10 at 10 a.m.

I wonder how it's possible that 28 of his albums have gone gold, when, including "Greatest Hits" and other such compilations, he has only released 20 albums!
