WICHITA, Kansas -- Wichita police responding to an aggravated assault.
It happened at an apartment in the 600 block of S. Eastern Street around 1:50 a.m Friday.
According to police, several people were involved in a disturbance at the apartments.
A 30-year-old man was fighting with his girlfriend.
She took his cell phone and broke it, and then she punched him in the face.
"She took out a pair of kitchen shears and ran towards him," said Lt. Doug Nolte, Wichita Police Department. "This caused him to be concerned for his safety, and he fled the area."
Officers arrested the 28-year-old woman for criminal damage to property and aggravated assault.
The victim wasn't hurt.
