PHOENIX, Arizona (KPNX) -- A Phoenix, Arizona 6-year-old is dead after taking the family car for a joyride with her 8-year-old brother.
Rudy De La Cruz knew something was wrong when he spotted a red Hyundai Elantra swerving from lane to lane in a south Phoenix neighborhood.
The 17-year-old pulled up alongside the vehicle to see the headlights off and the windshield wipers running at full force.
"It looks like next to me there are these two little kids driving a car," he told a 911 dispatcher. "They're all over the lanes and not stopping."
