OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma (KFOR) - Tony Chulsuwan has loose teeth, two black eyes and a crushed cheek bone.
Those are just some of the injuries his attackers left him with.
On Saturday afternoon, he says two teenagers he knows from his Oklahoma City neighborhood came into his front yard.
When he walked out to talk to them, they started beating him with a steel pipe and a log chain, taunting him as they beat him.
And he says they taunted him as they beat him.
"They asked me where your money? And I said I don't have any money. I didn't eat for couple days. And they just laugh at me and say you want me loan you money, you can eat?" said Chulsuwan.
Chulsuwan is staying with his friend, Ray Swaford, while he recovers from his injuries.
"I have no doubt that they left him for dead," said Swaford.
Chulsuwan is 66 years old, a devout Buddhist monk and also teaches muay thai kickboxing.
Swaford says if Chulsuwan had known his attackers' intentions, he could've easily defended himself.
"That's why they sucker punched him in the back of the head with a steel pipe, a blow that would've killed most people," said Swaford.
Chulsuwan was so badly injured, he lay in his driveway, drifting in and out of consciousness for 24 hours, before he was able to crawl into his house and call for help.
"Because I know him, so I trust him. You know because I saw him before out and he come and see us, come to see me very often," said Chulsuwan.
As part of Chulsuwan's faith, he has the utmost respect for life.
He won't even eat the eggs from the chickens he raises in case one is fertilized and he says he certainly would never have harmed either of these teens.
Also because of his faith, he's not angry with them, but says he does fear who they might hurt next.
"I forgive, I forgive. But the thing is the kid like this, they're not going to stop," said Chulsuwan.
Chulsuwan lives near Spencer, but is in Oklahoma City's jurisdiction.
