WICHITA, Kansas, August 21, 2008 – At the urging of her father, Melva Bascue looked for her birth parents.

While her birth mother did not want to meet, she did get Melva her medical information. She then discovered that her mother had a battle with breast cancer three years ago.

Now, for the first time, Melva will join in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.
