CIMARRON, Kansas -- A 74-year-old Cimarron man was killed in an accident in Ford County.
It happened late Tuesday night one mile west of the U.S. 50 and the U.S. 400 bypass.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2006 Chevy Silverado, driven by Lorren Perkins, was driving westbound in the eastbound lanes of U.S. 50. due to poor weather conditions.
Troopers say that is when Perkins was struck head-on by a semi.
The 47-year-old semi driver wasn't hurt in the accident.
Perkins was taken to Western Plains Hospital where he passed away.
Two people were seriously injured in a crash on the Kansas Turnpike. It happened about 3:15 Wednesday morning at mile marker 39.
