Fatal fire in southeast Wichita

WICHITA, Kansas, May 11, 2008 - A man described as being in his 20's or early 30's died from smoke inhalation early Sunday morning. Investigators say something caught fire on his stove.

Firefighters were called to an apartment complex in the 2400 block of South Glendale at around six a.m. Glendale is near Pawnee and Oliver.

When they entered the man's apartment, they found him not breathing. He was transported to a hospital, but later died. As of Sunday afternoon, his identity had not been released.
