Sheriff's Department releases more information on kidnapping suspect

WICHITA, Kansas, July 2, 2008 – The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office has released more information about the man wanted in the robbery, kidnapping and rape of a Viola convenience store clerk last week.

Robert D. Abner, 39, is wanted out of Kansas on seven counts of rape, one count of aggravated robbery and one count of aggravated kidnapping.

He is described as a white male, 6’0” tall, 300 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He has had facial hair in the past, but may have shaved it.

He is last known to be driving a dark blue or black 1995 Lexus SC 400 with a Kansas license plate 573 AMM.

He was reportedly born in Eugene, but may be traveling to Oregon where he has several acquaintances.
