WICHITA, Kansas, August 4, 2008 – Wichita police say they have arrested a man for allegedly impersonating an officer and raping women.

Fifty-one-year-old David L. Gage was arrested Friday afternoon and booked into the Sedgwick County Jail for two counts of forcible rape, two counts of false impersonation of a police officer and aggravated robbery.

Authorities say he would contact women on Craig’s List and arrange to meet them. He would then allegedly claim to be a U.S. Marshal and rape them. 

Officers know of two possible victims so far, but think there could be more.
