Parolee charged in murder of KS farmer

TOPEKA, Kansas, August 18, 2008 -- Attorney General Steve Six announced Monday that Kenneth Eugene Wilson of Salina was charged with premeditated first degree murder in connection with the March 2008 murder of Jeffrey Scott Noel.

The state is alleging that Wilson burglarized Noel's home in Osborne County, took his cell phone along with $50, then shot and killed him with his own gun.

Wilson has been charged with one count first degree murder, one count aggravated burglary, one count burglary of a residence and one count felony possession of a firearm.

Wilson is set to have his first court appearance on August 20th at 1:30 p.m. He is currently being held at Ellsworth Correctional Facility.
