By Laura McMillan

DERBY, Kansas, August 28, 2008 - Derby High School opened late today in order for police to investigate a threat.

For a short time this morning, students and parents were kept away.  All the parking lots at the school were blocked and the school was locked down.

The school opened its doors at 8:30.

We are still waiting for police or school officials to comment on the nature of the threat.  Stay with KSN and KSN.com for more developments.
