Salina bank robbed

SALINA, Kansas, September 5, 2008 – Salina police are searching for suspect who robbed a bank Friday afternoon.

Bennington State Bank at 200 S. 9th St. was robbed Friday afternoon around 3:15.

Police are searching for a white male around 6’ to 6’4”. He is estimated to weigh around 200 to 230 pounds and has a mustache and goatee and brown hair.

He wore a blue KU hat, blue/gray v-neck sweater, khaki pants, white shoes and a gold ring on his left ring finger.

The suspect produced a note demanding money and left with an undisclosed amount. It is believed he left on foot and entered a light brown late model, passenger car. It was possibly a Buick Le Sabre or Ford Taurus.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the Salina Police Department or 911. The suspect is considered armed and dangerous.
