HOISINGTON, Kansas, September 19th, 2008 – One woman is dead and four others are hospitalized after a head-on collision near Hoisington Thursday night.

The crash happened just after 9 p.m. on Highway 281 when a Jeep tried to pass another car and hit an oncoming van.

Twenty-eight-year-old Melissa Schuey died in the crash. Two other people were flown to a Wichita hospital while another adult and a one-year-old girl were taken to CKMC in Great Bend.

All of them are in moderate to serious condition at this time. The Sheriff says one more may not make it.
