Gentry: Robinson's idea to kill Brooks

By Jessica Oakley

WICHITA, Kansas, October 10, 2008 – Prosecutors put key witness, Everett Gentry on the stand Friday afternoon.

Everett Gentry testified Friday that Elgin Robinson hired him to kill his pregnant 14-year-old girlfriend, Chelsea Brooks, in 2006.

Gentry already pleaded guilty to capital murder for his part in the crime in exchange for his testimony against Robinson and Theodore Burnett, who was convicted in May for strangling Brooks.

Court will resume Tuesday morning.
