RUSSELL, Kansas -- Authorities in Russell have detonated a suspicious device.
It was found Monday by workers of the Union Pacific Railroad Russell radio station KRSL reported.
It was discovered on the railroad tracks north of Russell High School.
It was taken east of town and later detonated by the bomb squad.
No injuries were reported.
It has not been announced what the device contained.
Several streets were blocked as crews worked to remove that device
