WICHITA, Kansas -- An ad for a Sony Playstation gaming console led to a shooting in east Wichita on Saturday.
Two people responding to the Craigslist ad went to the 8000 block of East Grail at about 2:30 p.m. to meet the sellers.
When they arrived, they were met by two men in their 20s. One of them tried to jump into the victims' car and take their money, according to police.
As the victims tried to drive away, one of the suspects pulled out a gun and fired five to six shots at the car.
No one was hurt, and the victims reported no loss of property or cash. But, police urged people to use caution when making Craigslist transactions.
"I want the citizens just to be aware," said Sgt. Bart Brunscheen of the Wichita Police Department said. "Meet in a public location. I always like to take someone else with me. I generally do not do cash deals, and I think if you're safe it helps us out and it will help everybody else out."
Both suspects are still at large.
