WICHITA, Kansas -- Wichita fire crews battled a house fire in the 1400 block of North Parkdale near 13th and Maize.
It broke out around noon Monday in the basement of the home.
When crews arrived, flames and smoke could be seen coming from the home.
According to officials, at least one firefighter was injured after falling through a floor.
He landed on a floor joist, straddling it. Fellow firefighters pulled him to safety.
Paramedics checked out the firefighter, who was cleared to return to duty.The firefighter has been cleared to return to duty.
No one was home at the time of the blaze and it's under investigation.
