LENEXA, Kansas (KMBC) - Olivia Neely will be a fifth grader when school resumes in August at Lenexa's Sunflower Elementary.
Olivia won the Healthy Lunchtime Challenge Contest, a program offered through the White House and championed by First Lady Michelle Obama.
It named a winner for each state and Olivia was chosen to represent Kansas for a recipe that makes pizza crust out of cauliflower.
Olivia said her family was notified by email a few days ago.
"I had some friends over and my mom couldn't tell me because they were over," she said. "But I was really happy and jumping up and down."
She said her friends have asked her to say hello to the first lady for them.
