WICHITA, Kansas - Police are investigating a shooting in north Wichita.
They say someone opened fire on a home in the 2600 block of N. Ash just before 5:30 Tuesday evening.
Of the five people in the home, an 18-year-old man was hit.
When police arrived he was in the front yard, suffering from gunshot wounds.
He was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Police say his wounds are not life-threatening.
Police are still looking for the shooter or shooters. They don't know if the shots were fired from a car, but the bullets did come from the direction of the street.
For now, officers are going door to door interviewing neighbors.
Police don't know if the shooting was gang-related, but the police gang unit is on the scene helping with the investigation.
