WICHITA, Kansas - Wichita police say a man who was trimming and edging along West Street is the victim of a car accident.
It happened just before 5 p.m. Monday in the 2900 block of South West Street.
Police say a 20-year-old man was driving along West Street and his passenger-side wheels went over the curb.
"For unknown reasons, he went off the roadway and struck a 47-year-old man who was working, doing lawn care on the side of the road," said Lt. Joe Schroeder, Wichita Police Department.
The 47-year-old victim, Terry Wright, died at the scene.
