WICHITA, Kansas - The Sedgwick County Sheriff Department says 60-year-old Robert Ward Dalen died this morning from chronic medical issues.
It happened around 12:17 a.m.
Detention and medical staff responded to a medical emergency in a single person cell.
Dalen was pronounced dead at 2:41 a.m. at the hospital.
The Kansas Bureau of Investigation and sheriff's office detectives were notified of the death per policy.
An autopsy will be performed.
Dalen was booked into the Detention Facility on June 27, 2013 on bench warrants from the City of Wichita.
The students on the school bus were not injured.
