WICHITA, Kansas - Nearly a thousand people showed up to protest taxes today near the airport in Wichita.
Modeled after the Boston Tea Party of 1773, rallies were held all over the country.
Here in Kansas, hundreds showed up at different rallies from Salina to Garden City.
In Wichita, local politicians took to the microphone to express their concerns over Kansas residents paying more in taxes.
U.S. Senator Sam Brownback told the crowd he is concerned the federal government is spending too much, and he told the crowd he will continue to fight tax increases.
