Beloit student sentenced for hazing incident

BELOIT, Kansas – A Beloit High School football player was sentenced to a year of supervised probation for his part in a hazing incident involving a younger teammate.

Joe Studer, 18, was sentenced Thursday in
Mitchell County. Studer admitted to putting muscle-relaxant gel on the body of a 14-year-old freshman.

Under a plea agreement, he will perform 20 hours of community service, apologize to the victim and be home between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. for a year.

Studer is no longer on the team.
