CLAFLIN, Kansas - Voters in Claflin have voted to renew a half-cent sales tax. The ballot passed on Tuesday by 63 percent.
The extra money from the tax increase will be used to pay for capital improvements, ranging from street repairs to park projects.
The sales tax will be up for renewal again in five years.
