Four arrested in shooting death of woman

WICHITA, Kansas – Wichita police have taken four people into custody in connection with the shooting death of a 20-year-old-woman near I-135 and Harry.

Officers say Cynthia Garcia was fatally wounded after an argument at the Denny’s restaurant on E. Harry early Saturday morning. When the car she was riding in pulled away it was followed by the suspects’ vehicle.

Police say the vehicle then began shooting into the victim’s vehicle as it was traveling over I-135 westbound on Harry. Garcia was hit in the chest and died later at the hospital.

Authorities say the suspects are all in their 20’s and are known gang members.
