Man dies in southern Kansas house fire

WINFIELD, Kansas (AP) - The man killed Sunday in a house fire in southern Kansas has been identified as 64-year-old Jack Greever.

Sgt. Chad Gordon of the Winfield Police Department said the coroner has ordered an autopsy.

Gordon said firefighters responded after a person believed to be a family friend found the fire and the man's body and notified police.

Winfield Fire Marshal and Deputy Chief Alan Stoll said the blaze had burned itself out when fire crews arrived.
