WICHITA, Kansas -- Wichita Police say a teenage girl who had been missing for 12 hours was found safe and sound in a Park City home.
Police are still investigating to determine the circumstances of her disappearance.
The 14-year-old girl, who KSN will no longer name since she has been found safe and is a minor, was last seen early Wednesday morning leaving her home in Planeview in the 3600 block of E. Dunham. She told her family she couldn’t sleep and was going for a walk. She was text messaging her brother until about 1 a.m., and then she stopped replying. Her brother told their mom, who tried calling her, but the calls went straight to voice mail.
She is from Minnesota. She moved to Wichita just two days ago because she wanted to live with her mom.
A teenage boy was taken into custody from the home in Park City for questioning. No charges have been filed. The girl was taken downtown to be interviewed by officers before being taken back home.
