SUMNER COUNTY, Kansas - An ATV accident at the Kansas Badlands near South Haven left one man dead and a woman in critical condition shortly after 11 o'clock Saturday night.
Wellington Fire Department used the "jaws of life" to remove the two who were trapped inside a Polaris Razor.
The woman was taken to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita by air ambulance. The man was taken to Sumner Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities believe the vehicle hit a dirt hill causing it to roll several times. The accident is still being investigated to determine if alcohol may have contributed to the crash.
