I agree with the others! My husband and I are good parents but I cannot (and could not) control everything my children do and I wouldn't want to. I believe they will make choices right or wrong and I will do my best to guide them, but I won't follow them everywhere they go. If I am punished for what they do then what does that teach them? Nothing! Only that someone else will take the blame and they are free to do what the want; and unfortunately, a lot of kids will let mom and dad pay the price as long as they will. Also on a side note, my middle son has joined the armed forces, at 18. Why is it that he is old enough to lay down his life along with hundreds of thousands of other young men and women for our country, and not be allowed to have a beer? Hmm, just wondering.

This is an unfair law, I'm sorry but it's ridiculous. How can you blame a parent WHO DOESN'T KNOW THEIR CHILD IS DRINKING? "Oops you must have been a bad parent, shame on you, here's a punishment". Parents can't predict what their children do when they are away! This is just crazy, what is wrong with people?!?!?!?

This is absurd!! These laws handed down from the same governing bodies that tell us we cannot discipline our kids, but yet we can receive fines and punishment if they decide to drink WHEN WE ARE NOT EVEN THERE AND DON'T KNOW THEY ARE DOING SO!!! Try putting discipline back into the school system and punish the offenders not the bystanders. Once again, a blanket law that tries to punish and lay blame where it does not belong instead of addressing the issues directly.

Can anyone say Big Brother? I can not believe that anyone would even try to enforce rules in my home. Sure I don't want my kids to drink, and right now they are way too young to drink, but come on folks, you were a teenager once and you can't possibly tell me you didn't drink? When is it going to stop? First you don't let them hang out, now when they find a safe place to hang out together (at home) you threaten the very people who want to protect them? And just how vague is "recklessly" ??? What does that mean exactly? OMG when will it end? I say stay out of my home and off of my property and out of my family!
