Wichita, Kansas -- Maudre Haunted House is now open in Wichita and the theme is more adult than kid-friendly.

"We don't allow anyone in under the age of 14," says Moudre's Charlene Vinduska. "It's a little bit more adult than most of the haunts in town."

The haunted house adventure begins as you step in the front entrance and are greeted by "strippers" that look like ragged zombies.

"Don't worry, we fully intend to comply with Wichita's public nudity rules," explains Vinduska. "But the dancers in this room will be a little racy."

Those "zombie strippers" as Vinduska puts it, are something new for Wichita. City regulations require a woman's chest to be clothed from the "top" down. But Vinduska says parents will still have to leave the little kids at home.

"We've talked with the girls about keeping it mild," says Vinduska. "Actually most of my girls are even parents. So if they see a young child come in they're not going to do something that is horribly inappropriate."

Still, Vinduska says she hopes the racy nature of the haunted house brings in a lot of Kansans.

"The closest thing there is to this sexy-style haunted house is in Denver," explains Vinduska. "We pride ourselves on being on the cutting edge of haunted houses."

The Moudre will still have the usual fare of Halloween scare. After you are lured into the haunted "zombie" room, haunted house goers move to the blood and guts portion of the haunt.

"This is the cannibal room," says Vinduska, "It's just one of the scary rooms you have to endure once you've entered."

The website for Moudre says "no one under the age of fourteen" but that does not mean no teens.

"In fact, we are targeting the sophomore, junior and senior in high school crowd," says Vinduska. "And that twenty to thirty age group. We think it will be a big hit."

Moudre is on Wichita's west side just off the corner of Kellogg and Tyler.

It is open weekends for the Halloween season.

Legally the performers can be nude since it complies with nudity as part of a theatrical performance. There's is nothing racy about the event though. The only people upset about this are uptight fundy Christians who hate the entire concept of Halloween and people having fun.

What I can't believe is that a "respectable" Wichita news station is actually advertising this kind of filth! KSN talks on TV like they are the superman that has blown the lid on this nasty place, and then in their on-line article, they give the times, dates, and whereabouts! I'll be checking KAKE to see if they act this ignorant and maybe after years of loyalty to KSN, make the switch. We wonder why Wichita has so much crime, its because we promote crap like this! KSN get the message! DON'T promote a raunchy, gore ridden, place that lures children and pedophiles to the same place! IDIOTS!

But which is the less of the to, a womans body, thats showing nothing more or less then kids see at school or tv, or someone getting there head choppes off, or guts hanging out or whatever, Which is more natural, besides it is up to the parents anyway, and by the way its hookers you need to whatch out for not the strippers.

"Kids aren't going to see anything they haven't already seen," someone commented. True, but it's sad, in my opinion, that they've already been exposed to so much. Why add to it - and why make teens the target audience, as stated in the article? I recognize that there's nothing going on here that is illegal, and I believe that it should be a parent's choice to determine what their kids do (though I'm betting an awful lot of teens aren't going to ask permission). This business should be allowed to do what they're going to do, but I'm sad that so many people think this is appropriate for anyone - of any age.

Not a big deal besides the age limit, with all the news about teen preg.. It should be 18 years of age. There are alot of costumes on Halloween that are sexy, which I like myself but if I was hosting a sexy haunt I wouldn't allow kids under 18, my son is reaching that age where I see him looking at girls different and I want to make sure he doesn't go too far too quick. Besides Ive taught my kid about strippers ect... he would laugh and say "the only thing scary about them is STD's" LOL

IM JUST COMPLETELY CONFUSED AS TO THE POINT OF RACY ZOMBIE STRIPPERS IN A "HAUNTED HOUSE"..I DIDN'T REALIZE STRIPPERS GO HAND IN HAND WITH HALLOWEEN? LOL. I CAN JUST SEE MY KIDS QUESTIONS. MOM, I THOUGHT THIS WAS A SCARY HAUNTED HOUSE. WHY IS SHE IN HER UNDERWEAR. EHH, WHATEVER WORKS. ITS THE PARENTS DECISION. NO BIG DEAL REALLY. HAVE AT IT. I DOUT IT WILL BE AROUND NEXT YEAR. I'D RATHER DRIVE TO KANSAS CITY TO ENJOY THE HAUNTED HOUSES THEN WAIT IN LINE FOR A "RACY HAUNTED HOUSE". ITS NEW AND THE CURIOSITY WILL BRING PEOPLE IN, AND I WILL PROBABLY GO CHECK IT OUT MYSELF AND BRING MY 5 YEAR OLD.

I agree it is totally up to the parents, but why would they be ok with all the blood, guts and gore but are not ok with anything doing with sex, which is more natural
