After reaching 101 yesterday in Wichita, even a few clouds would be a welcome relief from the heat. That relief may come in the form of scattered showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. A weak cold front has moved into South-central Kansas this morning, increasing our chances of storms this afternoon. These storms will be the summer-time variety, meaning there is a poor chance of severe weather. Brief heavy downpours may provide some relief from the sweltering 100 degree heat, but will only add to the humid conditions. The hot July weather pattern will persist into the first week of August with temperatures forecast to be near 100 for Monday and Tuesday. All the forecast details are available at KSN.com/weather.
