WICHITA, Kansas -- The Wichita Public Schools Choices Fair has been rescheduled for Thursday, March 8, 5 - 8 p.m. at Century II Exhibition Hall.
The event had originally been scheduled for March 1, but it was moved back a week to give the Board of Education more time to analyze the final boundary proposal presented on February 13.
"By moving the Choices Fair to March 8, schools and district representatives will be able to offer parents concrete information about issues like grandfathering and special transfers at the event," said Superintendent John Allison in a statement.
The Board of Education will vote on the final boundary proposal on March 5.
The annual fair allows parents to look at the the different educational options offered by the district. This year, there will be also be information on the boundary proposal, new schools that will open in the fall, and how it will affect families in the district.
Additional information about the Choices Fair, magnet school visitations, and online and paper applications can be found at the school's website.
