The shooter in this case does not have a mental illness and for myboy22 to make such an untrue statement like that just shows ignorance.Did you talk to his personal Physician? If you feel for the families involved then think about your comments. The shooter is a father of 2 little boy's and there little lives will be forever changed by this shooting. He loves his boy's very much and that is what is so hard to understand about all of this. This is totally out of Austins character. I have never known Austin to lie, steal, cheat, carry on an old argument, be in a gang, or even start an argument with anyone. I have never known him to just go up to someone and just pick a fight. He was quiet and got along with those around him. I think his quietness is what some seen as his weekness and felt he was an easy target to start up a fight or argument. The problem was that the 2 shot and killed started up an old argument and decided to make it a big deal in front of all those people from what I have been told. I have also heard that the 23yr old victim prior to starting the argument back up made the comment to the 18yr old;"lets go punk this white boy". So if this is true, then who started what here? We have no idea what all details are involved here and exactly what was said between all 3 of them. For all we know the 2 victims made a threat and Austin was in fear for his life, really who's to say this it could be a strange case of self defense. From the stories I have been told there has been illegal activities going on in this apartment complex. Don't be so quick to judge without knowing the facts involved and especially when you don't know these people personally. My comments come from not only knowing Austin but from what I have been told by some of those who have direct contact with all 3 individuals. We have to pray for all 3 families involved as well as friends; alot of people are hurting because of this shooting. Most importantly the children left behind.

this type of loss effects many different people and I am very sad for the parents of these young people I am feeling their tremendous pain for their loss I also understand that the shooter in this case has an undetected mental illness

It is sad that 3 lives are wasted over something that is so insignificant. The young think they are invincible when in fact they have many years that will be spent wasted in the prison system or in their grave.

It is so sad to have to keep hearing of young people being killed in the prim of their lives over a disagreement.
